Pakistani Governament Plainning to launch own youtube sub domain " youtube.com.pk" Domian for pakistani User
Youtube has been blocked since 2012.
But Now youtube.com.pk might soon available to Internet users Pakistan Media sources claimed that Google might customize their product YouTube for Pakistan. This will enable YouTube users of Pakistan to view, upload and edit videos.Media sources claim that if certain requirements of Google are fulfilled, then Google administration will make it possible for Pakistani YouTube users to surf YouTube with a YouTube.com.pk domain. It means that the site will be localized.
Anusha Rehman told the Senate Standing Committee that government has been successful in convincing Google that Pakistani nation is quite sensitive about their religion. She added that localized search engine will make it possible to block any objectionable or blasphemous content in the future as well. She maintained that this will be possible only after government of Pakistan fulfill some of the Google administrations’ conditions.
Anusha Rehman quoted Google management by stating that
“Management of Google/YouTube has shown its willingness to localize YouTube in Pakistan provided they will not be held responsible if blasphemous content is placed and uploaded on its website
